Following a house fire, The Laurel Spring Residence was designed as a full rebuild utilizing the existing foundation and overall footprint of the original home. Working with RVA Restoration, Hetrick Design developed a practical and familiar layout that met the homeowner’s needs while staying within the financial limits covered by insurance.
While cost and footprint were guiding constraints, the new design allowed for subtle improvements in layout efficiency, curb appeal, and natural light. The result is a comfortable, timeless home that restores what was lost — thoughtfully rebuilt to feel both renewed and familiar.
